BP Kills LMRP Plan – Will Try Modified Top Hat To Cap Gulf Oil Spill
BP officially announced that it will drop attempts to install the LMRP package after the diamond saw failed to make the clean cut needed for the Plan. It will not use the huge shear saw nick named "CRAW" to snip the BOP and then used a modified top hat to attempt to collect the oil leaking from the well.
