BP clean up workers say they where ordered not to clean up oil with skimmers during the day. Instead BP used military aircraft to sink the oil with dispersants at night.

Scientists confirmed concentrations of oil in the Gulf Stream back on June 9th and satellite images show oil may have entered the Florida Straight as early as may 23rd. Based on a simulation of the Gulf Stream that means that oil is already off the coast of North Carolina.
