Tarballs Hit Cocoa Beach Florida

For a second day in a row tarballs wash ashore on Cocoa Beach on the East Coast Of Central Florida. While Government officials are still playing down the likelihood that the oil is from the BP Gulf Oil Spill the entire beach is now almost covered in tarballs. To make the situation worse the tarballs have spread even further north in Brevard County and are now covering the Cape Canaveral Beach .

Independent BP Gulf Oil Spill Water Samples Found Highly Toxic

Independent water samples of the BP Gulf Oil Spill show that the level of toxic chemicals of just a "small part" of ingredients in Corexit was found to be over 150 times the lethal dosage for fish along the Louisiana coast. That means that the levels of Corexit in the water are astronomically high and pose a direct threat to humans according to the lab scientist who analyzed the water sample.

Government Redirects Flow Of Mississippi To Fight Oil Spill Kills Off Oysters sm

The Federal Government recently denied a plan to protect Louisiana marshes from the BP Gulf Oil Spill by constructing a jetty of rocks claiming the plan would cause economic and environmental harm because it would "adversely mix fresh and salt water". Yet the Federal Government has decided to destroy those marshes by redirecting the flow of the Mississippi into the marshes to push back the oil, a move that will certainly turn the marshes into a dead zone where no life can live.
