WHITE HOUSE DOCUMENT EXPOSES CAUSE OF BP GULF OIL SPILL

A document from the White House investigation into the Gulf oil spill says that Gulf oil spill was caused initially by blown well casing, the 9-7/8 x 7″ section to be exact.
The loss of integrity of the casing apparently failed to contain the oil reservoir below which trigger a chain of events beginning with an influx of hydrocarbons, followed by the failure of several safety device and ended with plume of gas traveling up the drill pipe and igniting a leading to the explosion
The internal document also reveals the oil reservoir pressure is at a shocking 12,000 PSI and the drill pipe was under a pressure of over 1700 psi when it is normally less than 400 psi without flow.
We also get the first official pressure reading inside the BOP as the document states the last pressure reading there was 5700 PSI when the rig exploded.
Some other noteable information in this document include
“Flowout data not available due to fluids being discharged directly overboard (bypasses flowmeter)”
“Suspect explosion at 21:49.”
“EDS was activated from bridge after explosion at 21:56 based on witness statements.”
Some comments about this document found over at gcaptain.com highlights some of the standard procedures not followed that the investigation has failed to cite.
I noticed this had BP all over it. according to the article the blame goes from casing failure, straight to blaming the BOPs again. It manages to scrape by the failures of the bosses to run a substandard 14.3 PPG 50 BBl. mix of nitrogen foam cement. It faliled to point out the obvious lack of waiting time before pressuring up on the casings & causing whatever strength the substandard cement had to become even more degraded due to premature artificial swelling of the casings By reason of not allowing the proper amount of curing time before testing. It failed to point out the preconcieved idea not to run the CBL & to circulate sea water for 3300′ before ever performing negative tests to confirm the casing seals were properly set in the hanger bowl. It also fails to mention the continued attepmts to circulate seawater when pressure readings were a clear indicator of a well kick. It also fails to MENTION that a major part, if NOT ALL of the kill weight mud needed to gain well control back had already been pumped to the boat, rendering the rig with no bullets to go with its defective shield that BP loves to point to.
