Increase In Leaning BOP By Up To 1.5 Degress Appears To Confirm BP Gulf Oil Spill BOP Is Falling Over (Update 5)

June 28th Bullseye Reading Shows Increase In BOP Lean To Over 4 Degrees Since June 10th Reading Which Showed Lean Of Less Than 3 Degrees

On June 10th the BP Gulf Oil Spill BOP was leaning a little under 3 degrees and a reading today shows reveals that the BOP has increased by up to 1.5 degrees since then. This appears to confirm widespread speculation that the BOP is Falling Over.

Against Federal Advice Pensacola Beach Opens; Over 400 people sick

Onlookers stare at a huge mass of oil that came ashore on Pensacola Beach on June 23, 2010.

Pensacola Beach, which has been assaulted with heavy oil and tarballs, was re-opened by local officials against the advice of Federal Government. Local residents, trusting the officials who declared the beach safe, are reported to be swimming in an oil sheen with skimmers just feet off the shore.

The leaking BP Gulf Oil Spill well has suffered 6 such blowouts leading to concerns that a series of the leaks on the seafloor found by the Thomas Jefferson have been caused by the BP well or have been made worse by the blowouts.

Bob Cavnar Drilling Industry Expert

Keith Olbermann brought drilling expert Robert Cavnar on his MSNBC TV show Countdown to comment on the Dougr post on The Oil Drum. Cavnar told Olbermann that he agrees with assessment of blown well casing and says that the BP Gulf Oil Spill Blow Out Prevent May eventually fall over.

A confidential BP document that has been released by Rep Markey has received attention from the media because it shows that BP has been lying about internal flow rate estimates that it says could reach up to 100,000 barrels per day in its worst case estimate. The confidential BP document also reveals two other issues that haven't been mentioned by the media. There is an open hole in the well casing and the rock beneath the seafloor has been collapsing.

Scientists confirmed concentrations of oil in the Gulf Stream back on June 9th and satellite images show oil may have entered the Florida Straight as early as may 23rd. Based on a simulation of the Gulf Stream that means that oil is already off the coast of North Carolina.
